I’m looking for a Junior Freelance Designer
💻 Ad-hoc freelance support
🏠 Remote
💷 £15-£20/hour (dependent on experience)
I am looking to build a relationship with a talented junior freelance designer who can provide ad-hoc support on client projects, and help out on larger pieces of work when things get busy.
I’m an award-winning freelance graphic and digital designer working with a range of clients across Scotland and beyond, creating everything from brand identities and print design to websites, digital campaigns and social media content.
As my one-gal studio workload continues to grow, I’m looking for someone I can call on when I need an extra pair of creative hands.

This would suit a junior designer who is looking for flexible freelance work and wants to gain experience working across a varied range of real-world client projects.
Work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis, depending on workload and project requirements. I can’t guarantee a number of hours at the moment, but I’m looking to build a reliable working relationship with someone I can come back to regularly.
Projects could include:
Supporting larger branding and identity projects
Creating print and marketing materials
Digital advertising and social media assets
Presentation and document design
Adapting existing creative across different formats
Working within established brand guidelines
Helping with website and digital design
Image sourcing, retouching and basic image editing
General production and design support
You won't necessarily be doing the glamorous bits all the time! A good eye for detail, tidy file setup and the ability to turn a supplied design direction into polished final artwork are just as important.

This is a freelance subcontracting arrangement, rather than an employed position.
You'll need to have:
Your own laptop/computer and suitable equipment
Your own Adobe Creative Cloud subscription
Your own reliable internet connection
Self-employed/freelance status and responsibility for your own tax liability and National Insurance
Availability to work remotely and meet agreed deadlines
Projects will be briefed on an individual basis, with the scope, estimated hours and deadline agreed before work begins wherever possible.
You'll be responsible for managing your own workload and availability, although I'll always try to give as much notice as possible when work is coming up.
There is no obligation for either of us to offer or accept work, and there is no guaranteed minimum number of hours.
There are a few important things to know — such as client confidentiality and management. If you would like to read more about this, you can view my Freelance Designer/Sub-Contractor Agreement here.
